We know you love your pet hamster very much. And one way of showing love to your furry friend is by feeding it lots of tasty snacks. Before you introduce anything new to your pet hamsters’ diet, you must research it. Is the food safe for hamsters? Hamsters are naturally very fragile creatures, with tiny bodies. This makes them more sensitive and prone to various diseases. An important way to protect your hamster from diseases and keep it healthy is by looking after its’ diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hamsters should generally be given a nutrient-dense diet consisting of whole grains<\/a> and seeds, and ample amounts of clean water. These cute creatures also love fresh fruits and vegetables, especially for gnawing. However, does that mean they can safely eat all fruits and vegetables?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the tastiest vegetables known to us is carrots. Their crunch and flavor make them very appealing and they are packed with nutritious benefits as well. The question is, are carrots safe and healthy for hamsters? If so, then what is a good amount for them to eat? The key is to remember that hamsters have a different stomach and GI tract than humans, hence their eating habits and dietary intake should ideally be suited to their bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
